Only feet from a rich source of food, this Crowleys VC Strider succumbs to the elements and slowly converts its stomach contents to dried leaves, a natural process which is used by many arborists for reforestation in brownfield environments.

Not one to disagree with you SafeT but looking at the lack of Crowleys VC Strider tracks in the snow I suspect some type of foul play… my first question must be, why do you always seem to be on the spot when one of these majestic animals come to grief? Hmmmm?
The continuing snow-fall covered his tracks, an issue that plagues many trackers.
