I kept meaning to listen to your piece but got distracted by work. Very lovely. How long have you been playing?

I also listened to your recording of your book, I think I preferred reading it because then the characters can have my voice. I laughed my arse off at the spam stuff though.

Rich: Argh! And this is your first exposure to SafeTunes? I’m embarassed, as this one was not very good.
I’ve been around pianos since I was about thirteen. I’m not trained in any way, so my capabilities are quite limited. I can’t, for instance, play anything recognisable. Not even heart-and-soul.

Some people like the podcasts better than the text, since reasing is such a bore. But allergies have my voice all messed up so I haven’t recorded anything new in awhile. I agree on the voice thing, by the way, the voice acting in my head is impeccable!

Yeah, you should be embarrased dude! Totally sucked. I was only being polite… huh? where am I? Nah, twas cool man.

I’m the same way with pianos. I’ve been making up my own stuff since I was 10. Never learnt to actually play though, can be kinda frustrating but the world can live without another rendition of Heart and Soul.

Try honey for the voice, get a squeezy bottle and just squirt it in your mouth. Does wonders.

New film up BTW.

Hey, I never thot about commenting here. I liked your new piece. What am i saying, I like them all! Narration of stories is a tricky thing. I listen to a lot of audio books at work & man, a bad voice can ruin your enjoyment fast. (I haven’t heard yours, BTW)

Rich:Well, if you go to http://safetunes.blogspot.com and select “The Best Stuff” from the category selector you’d get a better idea of the transcendantly mediocre output I’ve recorded over the last year or two. So do you post your music as well?

l>t:If you wanna hear the old pipes you can get there by clicking on SafeTpod over there in the side-bar. They’re really short. Like five minutes or less. Thanks for listening to the music! Its neat to have an audience once in awhile.

I have listened to alot of what you compose, already :)

l>t: I know! I’ve seen your comments, as they are emailed to my inbox. I have saved them all!

Well I’ll just have to go there now, there’s nothing like mediocre music to gladden ones soul.

I hadn’t thought to post any of my music, except the music on the final credits for Whirligig and Beast Adrift that is. Hmmmm, maybe I will, maybe I wont, my technical prowess on the piano feels fairly limited, something to do with not learning the instrument I’m sure.

Rich, the bits at the end of those short films is nifty! Well, despite my technical limitations I post mine.
‘Course, I don’t have a delightful body of short animated works to overshadow my piano.

Rich said on May 25th, 2006

overshadow?? puh-lease, that’s like saying ‘red cars go faster’, it’s sounds good but it’s not really true.

I really enjoyed the music you had on the SafeTunes site. You don’t know how cool it is finding a group of people creating stuff for the enjoyment of it.
