Two More Weeks Down, Two More Tests Passed.

070-270, Administering Windows XP Professional. Oddly challenging, considering.
A070-284, Implementing and Managing Microsoft Exchange 2003. 3 hour test, 30 questions long. Appropriately complex.

I have three more weeks with three more tests and then I’ll have fulfilled my portion of corporate responsibility at the behest of our Microsoft lords and masters.

I can’t wait till this is over and I get to enjoy my normal 6 hours of sleep a night.

You may remember that I must take and pass all the tests to become an MCSE by the end of the year. I must do this without any formal class-room training (most tests accompany a five day class) or even official training materials. All while implementing several projects at IDSI and managing Auction-It TODAY on eBay Store#3.

Well, in my defence I primarily work with Novell and Linux, but we must be able to service whatever our clients have.
Many of them have Microsoft.

Joe, Just why were these tests seemingly left to the last minute? Is it Microsoft’s fault? Or, did you procrastinate? Either way, I am sorry you are in this pickle. I love you, and am rooting for you, but I really don’t have too, I know just how very very smart you are. :-) Ma

Geezer: Ah, but then I’d not be able to support my family, and I’d smell of crap all the time.

scruuw:Fun indeed! Thanks.

sue lou:There were changes made to the Microsoft Certified Partner program, and in order for our company to continue qualifying as one we need to have two MCSEs on staff, where we had two MCPs.

Sooo does that mean Microsoft sprung these new requirements on you with little notice and a too close deadline? Or did you procrastinate? Glad you passed the one on this past Monday. Last night, Samantha stood in the middle of my kitchen and said,” You have to watch me” I said, not seeing her doing anything but standing there– “What do you want to show me?” She just repeated, “You have to watch me.” So I said, “Why?” Samantha replied, “Mommy is gone. You and Papa have to watch me. What happened to your flag, I looked for it when I came but it was not there?” How observant. Love, Sammy’s Gramma
